Thelma G. Gavagan, 81, of LeMars died of a kidney ailment Suday in LeMars. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marshalltown, and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery there.
Mrs. Gavagan lived lmost of her life in Marshalltown until moving to LeMars 11/2 years ago. She retired as a nurse's aide at the Iowa Veterans Home and was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Among survivors are two daughters, Beverly Wilkins of LeMars and Betty Runge of Ames; a sister, Maxine Malone, and two brothers, William Perry and Delbert Perry, all of Los Angeles; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home in Marshalltown.
