Clarice and her children made their home in Carroll. She worked at St. Anthony Hospital as a nurse's aide, was a telephone operator and a retail clerk at Spurgeons Clothing Store. With hard work and the devoted love and help of her parents, Clarice raised her young family in the Bayard vicinity.

On September 19, 1953, Clarice Briscoe married Virgil Lee at Denison. To this union was born one son, Robert Lee. They settled on the family farm two miles west of Lohrville, where they lived 34 years.

Clarice loved working in her vegetable and flower gardens, quilting and her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, sharing and trying new recipes. Homemade ice cream is still a family favorite.

After Virgil's death in May of 1987, Clarice moved to an apartment in Lohrville. She belonged to Helping Hands Club, American Legion Auxiliary and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lohrville.
