Edward R. Speer
Edward R. Speer, nineteen, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Newton Speer of 14 Taylor Avenue, Flushing, was so overcome by the joyful news that he was to be discharged from the Jersey City Hospital after spending six weeks there, that he suffered an attack of heart trouble which resulted in his death.
He was born in West Hoboken, N.J. and had lived in Flushing eight years. He was an automobile mechanic and , before his illness, was employed by Bayside. Besides his parents he leaves two sisters; Catharine, sixteen, and Irene, thirteen.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at St. Michael's R.C. Church, Flushing, and burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery.
