Mrs. Marie Lynch, 83, of Chester, formerly of Edwardsville, died Tuesday morning in the Chester hospital.
Mrs. Lynch was born Aug. 7, 1892, in Edwardsville, a daughter of Nicholas E. and Frances M. Harles Bosen.
Her husband, Timothy J. Lynch, formerly of Highland, preceded her in death in 1955. A son, Maurice E. Lynch was reported missing in submarine service in W.W.II.
She is survived by sons Joseph M. Lynch of St. Louis; a daughter Mrs. Bernadine Paulus of Chester, a sister Sister Mary Joseph, Dominican Convent, Racine, Wis.,; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Five brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Also surviving are nieces Celeste M. Campbell and Mrs. Evan Shaw, and nephew Richard Shaffer, all of Edwardsville.
Funeral mass will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chester.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville.
