Murder victim. Subject of the 1999 award-winning movie "Boy's Don't Cry," and of the television documentary "The Teena Brandon Story," and featured in many television magazine-show pieces. Born a female and named Teena Renae Brandon, Brandon preferred to live as a male. Brandon and two of his friends were murdered in a farmhouse near Humboldt, Nebraska. Note: Brandon Teena was not his legal name, but one of the names he most commonly used.
