Claude N. Culler, 80, of 1213 Carter Street, was dead on arrival at High Point Memorial Hospital at 5:40 a.m. today after suffering a heart attack at his home. He had been in his usual health until then. Mr. Culler was born in Stokes County, January 26, 1884, a son of Frank Benjamin and Mary (Boyles) Culler. He had been a resident of High Point for 60 years and was married July 3, 1906 to Della M. Kraus. A mechanic, he operated a repair shop and for several years operated the Sheraton Service Station, retiring in 1950. Since his retirement, he had been associated with his late son, Dick Culler, in the Autograph Ball Co. For 50 years he was a member of the High Point Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Green Street Baptist Church and a member of the Friendly Bible Class.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Della K. Culler of the home; one son, Fred B. Culler of 303 Edgeview Rd.; two daughters, Mrs. Joe V. Pegg of 1103 Adams Street and Mrs. James Peatross of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hubert H. Culler of 321 South Hamilton Street and Grady A. Culler of 1220 Carter Street; and three sisters, Mrs. Willa Stout of 301 Edgeview Rd., Mrs. J. H. Steele of 1301 Denny Street and Mrs. W. T. Rich of Durham. Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Green Street Baptist Church by Dr. E. W. Price Jr., pastor and Dr. George T. Tunstall, retired. Entombment will be in Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Funeral for Claude N. Culler was held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Green Street Baptist Church by Dr. E. W. Price Jr., pastor, and Dr. George T. Tunstall, retired. Entombment was in Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum. Pallbearers were Carson C. Stout, Roy Culler Jr., Glenn Steele, Harold Culler, William Rich, Carl Shelton, A. M. Gentry Jr. and Fred Moon. Mr. Culler, 80, of 1213 Carter Street was dead on arrival at High Point Memorial Hospital Wednesday.
