Ella D. Hauk-Following a several months' illness due to a stroke of apoplexy, Mrs. Ella D. Hauk died Sunday morning at 2:10 o'clock at the home of her daughter Mrs. Jesse T. Stevens and husband, 203 West Main Street. She was the widow of the late Harvey Hauk.
Mrs. Hauk, who was 83 years, 2 months and 3 days of age, having been born June 18, 1849, had resided in Peru since 1860. She was a daughter of the late Parker and Martha Coffin and was born in Richmond, Ind. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and as long as she was able physically she was active in the work of the Ladies Social Union.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jesse Stevens, Peru, and Mrs. J. A. Norman, of Teaneck, N.J.; a son, Ollie C. Hauk, of Detroit; four grandchildren, Mrs. Ben Hull, Altoona, Pa., Mrs. George Garner, Los Angeles; Mrs. Ferguson Irving, London, Canada, and Jane Ellen Norman, Teaneck, N.J., and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the late residence, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Dr. Harry Nyce officiating. Interment was made in Mt. Hope Cemetery."
