To this union five children were born who survive: Miss Anna of the home; Misses Gertrude and Myrtle of Clinton; Charles and Leonard, near Coal She is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great-grandson, a sister, Mrs. Lockie Jones, St. Louis; brother H. G. Leonard, Mokane, Mo. Mrs. Fowler was converted early in life and united with the Clinton Methodist Episcopal Church, South, which membership she retained until death. She was especially fond of children and no child ever visited her home without a friendly greeting from her. In her community she was a friend and neighbor to everyone. Many beautiful flowers showed the high esteem in which she was held. She was tenderly cared for during her illness by her family and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home May 17.
