The Staples World, January 24, 1963

Mrs. Alice Hoemberg passed away at the Staples Municipal Hospital on her seventy-sixth birthday anniversary, Monday, January 21. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. today (Thursday) from the Church of the Sacred Heart, with the Reverend F.C. Falque officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Hill cemetery.
Alice Elizabeth Kinsella was born the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Kinsella on January 21, 1887 at Sauk Centre. She came to Staples in 1912. On April 20, 1915, she was united in marriage to Andrew Hoemberg at Staples. Following their marriage, they continued to make their home here, where her husband was an employee of the Northern Pacific Railway Company. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1956.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Isabelle Fuller of Crosby and Mrs. Craig Spencer (Lorraine) of Minneapolis; three sons, Patrick and Paul, both of Staples, and Walter of Minneapolis; one sister, Mrs. Fred Hoemberg of Staples; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
Pallbearers for the final rites will be Gerald Guth, Lawrence Dyer, Michael Wilhelmson, Patrick Hoemberg, F.J. Hoemberg and Clarence Hoemberg.
