|Birth: ||May, 1896|
My mom and sister went to Chicago and spent quite a bit of time trying to locate Helen. They were unable to track her down with any of the leads that they had, sadly.
If anyone knows whatever happened to her, please contact us.
We think that she was abit reclusive and pensive, and left her strict father and mother and lived on her own in the Chicago or Palatine area.
No one knows what she did for a living, other that the one directory.
There are few records for her on ancestry.com!
In the 1918 US Directory she is boarding at her parents home of 615 Church Street, Benton harbor, Michigan where she is a "music teacher".
1940 cennsus living with her parents: 305 W Chicago Avenue, Palatine, Cook, Illinois, USA. Completed second year of high school in this census.
Mental Institute, ?Chicago/Palatine, Cook, Illinois, USA.
Nothing more found for her. No marriage certificate. Mom suggests that when they tried to look her up in Chicago that she was institutionalized but could not find her; info coming from her brother, Fred.
We believe that she must have died after 1940. If anyone know her story, her death date or cemetery, please share!
