- Amarillo Man Dies in Crash
Lando Newman, 61, of 4318 E. 16th, was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-car collision 10 miles northeast of Channing. Cars driven by Newman and Alfred Ray Ford, 38, of the Hartley route in Dumas, collided at the unmarked intersection of two county roads. Ford was treated at Dumas Memorial Hospital. Highway patrolmen said the cause of the accident was not known. Funeral services are pending at Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors of Amarillo.

Rest In Peace, Lando.
