Joseph Hilton Webb-son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend to many. Unexpectedly went to be with the Lord and his mother on Dec. 12, 2006 doing what he loved best. Joe had requested at his mother's funeral that he be cremated and that he wanted everyone to wear blue jeans, t-shirts and sneakers. He said suits were just too uncomfortable. The Webb family will have a gathering of friends and family at Wright Baptist Church from 3-5 p.m. in the fellowship hall, with a 5 p.m. memorial at 795 Beal Parkway, Fort Walton Beach .

Joe opened Webb's Transmission in 1969 and Suncoast Converters and Diesel Performance Inc., in 1989. Joe was a brilliant man in the Transmission industry and the Diesel arena. He was also an avid diver. It was his true passion in life. He loved the water and visited as many places of dive interest as time would allow in his already busy life.

Joe was born October 21, 1944 in Baton Rouge La, to Wilda Webb (who went to be with the Lord November 26, 2006) and James Webb. Being the son of a railroad engineer he spent much of his life in Mississippi. He graduated from Provine High School and came to Fort Walton Beach on his honeymoon in 1963 where he planted his roots to raise his family. He was a much loved and a well known man in our community. He will be deeply missed by many.

Joe is survived by his dad James B. Webb 90, his wife Joan Webb of 43 years, son Britt and Nikki Webb, daughter Dee and Robert Manners. He is also survived by his sister Jimmie and Robert Tensfield and Frances and Garreth Davies. He has seven grandchildren, Holly and Evan Manners, Chad, Cole and Payton Webb, Nick Malone and Casi Nowling. He also has three sisters-inlaw, Ella and Bill Bruner of Pace, Faye Dollar and Betty Boulden, both of Terry. He is also survived by two nieces and six nephews.

Joe cherished his long time friends, Frankie and Roger Peale, Harry and Barbara Wickliffe, The Old Men's Dive Club- Dana Dixon, Billy Dixon, Robin Lines and Pastor Bobby Turner.
