Son of Harold & Frances Powers Walden

Robert F. Walden, 70, of 304 Frederick Avenue, died Saturday, January 11, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born May 11, 1932 in Waterloo, son of Harold and Frances Powers Walden. He married Jane Holmes on December 30, 1954 in Waterloo. Mr. Walden was a 1950 graduate of West Waterloo High School and a 1954 graduate of Iowa School of Business. He and his brother owned and operated Walden Photo, retiring in 1999. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard R. and Michael J., both of Waterloo; two daughters, Sue (Rick) Jorgensen of Naperville, Illinois, and Kathy (Mark) Schreiner of Waterloo; five grandchildren; his mother of Waterloo; one brother, Richard H. (Anne) of Ames; and one sister, Joann (Otto) Miller of Janesville.

Services 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edwards Catholic Church with family burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home.
