Funeral services for Carlton Brady, age 72 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Van Johnson and Rev. Don Schultz officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. Brady passed away Thursday morning in Huntsville Hospital.

He was a native of Madison County, AL, son of the late Dick and Flossie Slayton Brady, owner of Brady Tile and Marble and a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Mr. Brady sang bass for The Singing Ambassadors, hosted the Shadow Valley Gospel Music Festival for 18 years and organized the annual March Gospel Singing at NGA featuring The Primitive Quartet.

Survivors include his wife Ariena L. Brady of Faytteville, son Gregory Carlton (Marilyn) Brady of Burnsville, MS, daughter Angelia Brady (Dane) Grissom of Fayetteville, son William Todd (Emily) Brady of Fayetteville, grandchidren Matthew Brady Gonzalez, Brittney Brady, Blake Brady, William Andrew Grissom, Anna Paulette Grissom, Reagan Lane Brady and Elias Walker Brady, great-grandchildren Brooke Grissom Craft and Joshua Pierce Grissom, brother Earl Brady of Hazel Green, AL, two sisters Virginia Hill of Hazel Green, AL, Lois Warren of Fayetteville and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Mr. Brady was preceded in death by his daughter Carla Brady.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
