Funeral services for Charles E. Shumake, Jr., 60, of Blair will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, 1988, at Campbell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery. He died May 4.

Charles was born January 12, 1928, in Stonington, Illinois, to Charles H. and Bertha (Ashenhurst) Shumake.

He attended schools in Blair, and in 1948, married in Plattsburg, Missouri.

Charles lived his entire life in Blair, and worked for Blair Manufacturing before beginning a 34-year working relationship with Fruehaf Trailer and Truck, where he worked as assistant superintendent.

Survivors include his wife, sons, three grandsons, and father Charles H. Shumake of Blair.

His mother and one brother preceded him in death.
