Evelyn Gregory, age 85 of Blair, died August 22, 2013 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 26th at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel in Blair. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 26th, 2013 in the Circle Mound Cemetery near Rising City, Nebraska.
Evelyn Mae (Darnall) Gregory was born August 2nd, 1928 to Judson S. and Gertie L. (Cornell) Darnall in rural Rising City, Nebraska.
She attended rural Rising City and David City schools and graduated from Rising City High School in 1945. She then attended Midwest Beauty Academy in Lincoln, Nebraska.
In addition to being a housewife and mother she worked as a receptionist in a doctor's office and spent 29 years with Dale Electronics in Columbus, Nebraska.
Evelyn loved spending time working in her flower garden.
On March 26th, 1950, she was united in marriage to Earl L. Gregory of Rising City.
She is survived by her children, Michael of Rogers, Arkansas and family, Patrick of Blair, Nebraska and family, and Kathy Sanley of Pittsburg, Kansas and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl, parents and an only sister, Mildred Jackson of Columbus, Nebraska.
Memorials may be directed to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Community or the American Diabetes Association.
At the funeral service, Pastor Amy Krejacarek and Pastor Mike Knudson officiated. The organist was Cheryl Baron. "Amazing Grace" and "On Eagles Wings" were sung by the congregation.
