Adney D. “Ad” Smith, 87, founder of the Lund-Heitman Smith advertising agency now known as the Smith Davis Miyasaki Advertising and Public Relations, died Thursday. Smith, a retired U.S. Naval Reserve commander, was born in Redondo, Wash. He is survived by wife Verna; daughter Sherol Jenner; son Steven; brother William; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. No flowers. Donations suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
