Burnettsville Expires;
Services There Friday
BURNETTSVILLE — Final rites
for Mrs. Maude Brown, 73, wife of
James D Brown, local druggest,
will be at two o'clock Friday at the
Baptis church here. The Reverend
Virden Graham will officiate and
burial will be in the Davis cemetery.
The body will be taken from the
Miller funeral home, Monticello,
to the residence where friends may
call after noon today.
Her death occurred Tuesday at
the Porter Memorial hospital, Valparaiso,
where she had been a
patient for seven weeks.
Born in Carroll county Sept. 24,
1879, she was the daughter of Peter
and Mary King Bishop. Her marriage,
on March 22, 1900, was to
James Brown. She was a member
of the Burnettsville Baptist church
and the Social and Study club.
Survivors are the husband; a
son, Dr. J. C. Brown, Valparaiso;
two grandchildren: one sister, Mrs.
Hazel Bruell, Peru; one brother
Glenn, Gregory, Michigan.
