Memorial of the Battleship Scharnhorst

One of the most successful of the German Navy WWII ships. It launched October 3, 1936. Mostly active against allies in the North Atlantic .The Scharnhorst sunk the English Aircraft carrier "Glorious" in June 1940 .The "Scharnhorst" itself sunk from artillery hits and 15 torpedoes in the polar sea near the north cap Only 36 men survived.
