Mr. Castleman was born Dec. 5, 1885 in Missouri, the son of Joseph and Clemetine Light Castleman.
He married Della E. Leonard on Sept. 1, 1909.
He had been a resident of Springfield for the last 20 years.
He was employed by the Springfield Terminal Railroad for 10 years and retired eight years ago.
He was a member of the Fifth Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Della E.; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Gantt, of Springfield; Mrs. Edna Weaver, of Garden Grove, Calif.; Mrs. Velma Cary, of Springfield; two sons, Clifford and Orville, both of Springfield; 24 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Gibson, of Virden; Mrs. Rose Kitchen, of Dawson; Mrs. Lillie Gantt, of Riverton; Mrs. Pearl Rogers, of Mechanicsburg; two brothers, Lawrence, of Stonington; Roy, of Taylorville.
Remains were at Staab Funeral Home.
Services were in Fifth Presbyterian Church.
Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
