Margaret Louise Greening Beavers passed away on Christmas morning 2004 in Camden, AR. She was 76.

Mrs. Beavers was secretary-treasurer of the Hwy 4 and 24 Water Association. She was instrumental in creating the association which brought water service to many residents in rural areas west of Camden. She was a lifelong member of the Two Bayou Church of Christ. She was the manager of the Country Store on Hwy 278 for several years.

Margaret was born January 19, 1928 in Camden to Christine and Paul Douglas Greening. She graduated from Fairview High School and attended Pepperdine University. She worked as a bookkeeper for Stromberg-Carlson and for C. D. Sanders. She resided in Reader and served as a city official there. In 1975 she married Bill Beavers, who preceded her in death on December 24, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Greening. Margaret loved living in the country among her family, but she also loved annual getaways on vacations around the country, especially to the ocean.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Franklin Sargent and her husband, Ed, of Dallas, her son Skipper Franklin of Camden, four brothers, Bob, Powell Orlando, Tyson and Billy Ray Greening all of Camden, a sister, Ruth Ann Headrick of Camden, a grandson, Michael Franklin of Robeline, LA, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Two Bayou Church of Christ with burial immediately following at Greening Cemetery.
