After coming to USA from Lithuania he was known in documents as Tuzef Strykulis (daughter Sophie's 1915 birth Record), later Joseph Strikulis, and by the WWI registration card was Jozef Strykul.
He married Anna Bancer (other spellings Banciar, Bancar etc...) 28 Jul 1912.
Their first son was born Chester Strykulis 8 Jul 1913 and Peter Strikulis premature birth 27 April 1914 on 4525 Hermitage Ave Chicago and died that same day at 7 PM according records. He was laid to rest 29 Apr 1914 at St Casimer's in Chicago Illinois.
Daughter Sophie Strykulis 5 Jun 1915, all of their names later shortened to Strykul.
Maria Strykul 14 Jun 1916, Samuel Strykul 14 Jun 1918, John Arthur Strykul 30 Apr 1920, Daniel Strykul 27 Nov 1921,
Sadly Joseph was killed in a car accident in 1923 only 1 week before the birth of his son Joseph who was born 28 Mar 1923.

Funeral services for Joseph Strychal were held this morning at 10:30 o'clock at the residence, 524 Pulaski street. Burial was in Highland cemetery
