Vera Lois Halsted "Granny" Clark, 85, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord and joined her husband, Thomas A. "TAC" Clark Sr. on Thursday, May 5, 2005. She is survived by her children, Katharine L., Thomas A. Jr. and wife, Linda, Robert C. and wife, Patricia, and George J. "Jeff" Clark; eight grandchildren, Cindy, Wendy, Amy, Tim, Brad, Jonathan, Christie, and Tarah; six great-grandchildren, Austin, Logan, Callie, Alexis, Brady, and Will, with one to arrive in June; half brother, Richard W. Firth; as well as many faithful friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother as well as a long time active resident of Hanover County. Remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd., where family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2005 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment Signal Hill.
