John G. Klein, 86, well-known and long time resident of Pella, died Sunday evening, Nov. 24, at the Pella Community Nursing Home.

John was born Oct. 6, 1882, near Pella and will be remembered for his many of association with the Pella Manufacturing Corporation, at one time known as the Pella Overall Manufacturing Corporation, and Pella Products, Incorporated, of Pella and New Sharon, organizations in which he served as president and general manager until about 4 years ago. He remained associated with them until 2 years ago, when his health necessitated his retirement.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 27, from the Chapel of the Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home with the Rev. Armand R. Renskers, ministers. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, the former Nellie Neels; a son, Bob Klein, and a daughter, Joyce, (Mrs. Ed Wesselink), all of Pella. There are seven grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and four brothers surviving: Arthur, Gradus, and Charles, all of Pella; and Henry, of New Sharon.
