Daughter of the late John F. and Mary A. (Grady) O'Heir, she was born December 28, 1924 in Hudson, MA, and was the widow of the late Harold F. Britton who died in 2009.
She graduated from St. Peter's School and Lowell High School in 1942, and St. John's School of Nursing in 1947. She worked for over 25 years at Valleyhead Hospital where she was Director of Nursing until its' closing in 1977.
Peg, as everyone knew her was a member of the Chelmsford Senior Center and an avid member of the Tops club that met on Tuesdays. She had many friends at the center and was cherished by all who knew her. The gals called her a good friend and a good listener who gave good advice. Peg loved to clown around with her gang and enjoyed many lunches, trips, and pool parties.
Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
