She was born August 23, 1917 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Anna was a member of the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain, a member of the church Altar & Rosary Society and church Ladies Guild, a current member of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain, St. John the Baptist Lodge #228 and the American Slovak Club.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. She loved day trips to the Amish area and casino trips.
She is survived by her daughter Jeanne (Carl) Elenin of Vermilion, daughter-in-law Louise Luca of Vermilion, grandchildren Barbara (Terry) Campbell of Harrison, Idaho, Paul (Susan) Elenin of Chesterland, Christine (Andrew) Huck of Cincinnati, Ronald (Jennifer) Luca of Berea and Angelina (Nick) Kelley of Lakewood, great grandchildren Zachary and Benjamin Elenin, Claudia Campbell, Augustus and Addison Huck and Cameron Luca, brother Steve (Carroll) Blazina of Columbus, sister-in-laws Mary Blazina and Pauline Luca, both of Lorain and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Luca, son Ronald Luca, parents Michael and Ljuba Blazina, brothers John, Michael, Charles and Joseph Blazina and sisters Mary Yager and Hilda Chulig.
The family will receive friends Sunday 3-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain where members of the Holy Trinity Altar & Rosary Society and St. John/Holy Trinity Lodge #228 will recite the rosary Sunday at 3:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Edward Luca, Anna's nephew, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
