Daughter of Henry E. Hobson & Dora Snow. Wife of Marcus Grady Walker (ma. 20 Sept 1930).

Mrs. Lucille Hobson Walker , 81, resident of 714 North Avenue, died Dec. 11, 1996, at her home.

The funeral for Mrs. Walker will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cumby Eastchester Drive Chapel, with the Rev. Carl Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Walker was born Aug. 6, 1915, in Rural Hall, a daughter to H.E. and Dora Snow Hobson. She was a retired employee of Adams-Millis Corporation, and National Upholstery Company. Mrs. Walker was a member of the Green Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, William Grant Walker in 1959. On Sept. 20, 1930, she was married to Marcus Grady Walker , who died May 26, 1980.

Surviving are two sons, Donald M. Walker and wife, Mary of Hicone Road, McLeansville, and Gary D. Walker and wife, Joan of Rockingham Road, High Point; four grandchildren, Lisa Brewer of McLeansville, Brenda Cook of Greensboro, Garrett and Neille Walker , both of High Point; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Ellis of Danville, Va., and Mrs. Mozelle Lewis of High Point; and one brother, Henry R. Hobson of Viera, Fla.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
