Rose Mae Windham Estess, 94, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, October 1, 2013 at Emeritus Retirement Home in Clinton. Visitation is 9:30am Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Lakewood Funeral Home; chapel services are 11am Thursday with interment to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Estess was born November 25, 1918 in Natchez, MS to Willis E. Windham and Ruby Mae Windham.

She was a resident of Jackson, MS with her family since very early childhood, attended Jackson public schools and graduated from Central High School. She and her husband moved to Clinton in 1985 from Jackson. She was a long-time member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Clinton and was a member of the Women's Sunday School class and also a circle member in the WIC.

Mrs. Estess was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Charles T. Estess; her parents and her only sister, Hazel Zwarych. She is survived by her only daughter Rebecca Estess Scott and her husband, Charles of Clinton, two grandchildren Shelly Scott Vincent (Jeremiah) of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Jeffrey Scott (Amy) of Nashville, TN, three great grandchildren; Hunter Vincent, Jack and Maggie Rose Scott, a niece and two nephews.

Donations can be made in honor of Rose Mae Estess to Providence Presbyterian Church in Clinton.
