Funeral services for 17 year old Denise L. Rathjen were held on Saturday, May 5th, 1979. Denise died at the St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha on Thursday, May 3, 1979. Cause of death was believed to have been from a heart condition.
Services were at the First Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Denise attended Blair High School and was attending Metro-Tech School of LPN Nursing in Omaha.
