Warwick was born Robert Taylor Bein in Sacramento, California. He trained as an opera singer in Paris but became a matinee idol on Broadway instead, making his screen debut in 1914. His career was interrupted by World War I service (1917 to 1919). Warwick appeared in 200 films and over 40 TV shows, and was active until a year before his death at 85.  (bio by: Bobb Edwards)
