MARGARET C. DIBERT, 97, passed peacefully on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 at home in Fort Wayne with family at her side. Born in Wallace, Ind., Margaret graduated from Ball State and St. Francis Universities. She was a teacher with Fort Wayne Community Schools for 27 years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Eastern Star #514, Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority, D.A.R. Daughters of the Nile, and the Home Extension Club Chapter Pro-To. Surviving are her son, Frederick A. (Marcy) Dibert of Fort Wayne; son, Terry J. (Patricia) Dibert of Lauderdale by the Sea, Fla.; daughter, Janet R. (Todd) Stephenson of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years, Wayne "Joe" Dibert; parents, Ivan and Anna (Myers) Allen; two brothers, Wilbur and Paul; and three sisters, Mary, Mildred and Anna. Funeral service is 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. Rev. Judith Follis officiating. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
