SCRANTON " Rev. Reese S. Miles, 75, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence after an illness.
Rev. Miles was born in Florence County, a son of the late Bob and Carrie Kirby Miles. He was a graduate of Emmanuel College, Franklin Springs, Ga., with further studies at the University of Georgia. He was an ordained minister of the South Carolina Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, Inc. He pastored the following churches from 1953 to 1998: Willow Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church, Florence; Matthews Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lake City; Sumter First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Sumter; Lancaster First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lancaster; Socastee Pentecostal Holiness Church, Myrtle Beach; Stone Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Pamplico; and had served as Interim Pastor from 2000 to 2004 for Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lake City. He served on the Conference Board for 21 years and served on the General Board of Education and the General Finance Board for the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.
