Spanish American War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He was a Landsman with the U.S. Navy and was awarded the Medal of Honor for heroism on the U.S.S. Maine in February, 1897. His official CMOH citation reads as follows: Attached to the U.S.S. Maine, February 1897.
