23 Year-old Cyclist Killed at County Fair
Kenneth E. Nickel, 23, racer from Omaha was killed here in a Motorcycle race Saturday afternoon. According to onlookers, the motorcycle slid from under him when he attempted a turn at high speed and was hit by another motorcycle coming close behind him.
Mrs. Kenneth Nickel, wife of the driver, was watching from the grandstand when the accident occurred. He was taken to the hospital by the Racely Ambulance but died on the way.
