THE LATE MRS. THACHER.
The funeral services of Mrs. Esther Thacher, wife of Mr. S. D. Thacher, who died Monday of cancer of the stomach, will occur at the family residence, 906 East Eighth street, at 2 o'clock to-day. Rev. Robert E. Talbot, rector of Trinity Episcopal church, officiating. Carriages will be in waiting at the residence, and the funeral cortege will proceed to Union cemetery where the interment will take place.
Mrs. Thacher, whose maiden name was Esther Allen, was born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1840, where she married Mr. Thacher in 1859. Eight children, seven of whom are living, were born to them. The deceased lady removed with her husband to this city in 1870, where she had many friends. Mr. and Mrs. Thacher celebrated their silver wedding on the 21st of last February, in the presence of a large circle of relatives and friends, among whom were their seven children and a grandchild.
