Ronnie Wayne Garvin
Birth: Aug. 18, 1959, USA
Death: Oct. 7, 1996, USA

Musician/Guitarist for the Florida based rock band "Stranger." He grew up in Charleston, South Carolina and began playing guitar when his father, a country/western musician, gave his son his first guitar, a Fender Strat. Ronnie played guitar for more than seventeen years for the former Epic Recording Label Rock Band, "Stranger," produced by Tom Werman. Ronnie toured the USA from 1982-1983 to promote "Stranger's" epic self titled debut named 'Stranger' before settling down in Florida. After the bands seventeen plus year run, singer, Greg Billings, parted ways and "Stranger" tried unsuccessfully in the early 90's to regain the strength that they once held in their glory days with replacement singer, Donnie Lee, but the band soon fell apart. The impeccable guitarist, Ronnie, committed suicide in 1996 after the break up of the band and also marital problems. He is best remembered for crowd pleasers such as "Swamp Woman", "Jackie's So Bad"(which received the modest airplay) and a sound traack called "No More Dirty Deals" for the movie with this same title. (bio by: Anonymous)
