SERVICES ARE HELD FOR E. DONALDSON
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 13, at First United Methodist Church in Blair for Elbra A. Donaldson, 79, who died July 11, 1983, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

The Rev. Sherry J. Skilnar officiated. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Elbra A. Donaldson was born July 30, 1903, at Fullerton, Nebraska, to Severt and Mamie Douthit Donaldson, pioneer farmers of that area. He married Dores Thompson at Fullerton on April 14, 1927.

They farmed for a number of years near Fullerton, then moved to Blair in 1941 where they established the Washington County Hatchery. They operated the hatchery until 1967.

He was active in the Chamber of Commerce, Blair Volunteer Fire Department and was an honorary member of the Blair Rescue Squad. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dores, Blair; two sons, Tom Donaldson, Ontario, California; and Fred Donaldson, Boulder City, Nevada. Five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Underwood, Houston, Texas, and Mabel Sodders, Crosby, Texas; and one brother, Hugh Donaldson, Muncie, Indiana, also survive him.

Pallbearers were Reg Wulf, Gordon Vinton, Bud Jensen, Jim Martin, Emmett Rogert and Harold Rembold.

Bette Kirk was organist. Lois Donaldson was vocalist.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
