BAILEY - Jennie R. Bailey of 1418 B Street, Springfield, passed away January 5, 1979, in a Eugene care center at the age of 83.
Jennie Bailey was born January 20, 1895, at Gettysburg, South Dakota.
She was united in marriage to Edward C. Bailey in 1918 in Iowa and he preceded her in death in 1958. She and her husband moved from Lead, South Dakota, to Springfield over 38 years ago. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Springfield Church of God and the Willamalane Golden Age Club of Springfield.
Surviving is a son, Kenneth E. Bailey of Springfield; a brother, Zan Cooper of Sturgis, South Dakota; and grandchildren: Colleen Bates of Guantanamo, Cuba, Donna Johnson, Yvonne Bilinowich and Darren Bailey, all of Springfield.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 9, at 2 p.m. in the BURNS-FREDERICKSEN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Clyde Goin officiating. Concluding rites and interment will be at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
