SERVICE HELD ON MONDAY FOR SAMUEL CEMER

Funeral services were held Monday, June 8, at 10:30 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home for Samuel Cemer, Sr., 80, who died June 6, 1981, at Crowell Home.

Rev. Gordon Patterson conducted the services. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Samuel Cemer, Sr. was born on July 11, 1900, in Oswego, Kansas, to Samuel and Jennie (Smith) Cemer. He married Mary Terrell on March 26, 1925, in Overland Kansas.

He moved to Blair from Trenton, Nebraska in 1954 and worked for the Blair School Systems as a maintenance engineer. He retired in 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Blair; two sons, Samuel F. Cemer Jr., Blair; John William Cemer, Nebraska City, Nebraska; and three daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Margorie) Makings, Grant, Nebraska; Mrs. Everett (Lois) Wilkins, Omaha; and Mrs. Charles (Delores) Rowe, Blair. One brother, Clarence Cemer, Sterling, Colorado; one sister, Fannie Clark, Mattoon Illinois; fifteen grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers for the services were Robert Cemer, William Cemer, Francis Cemer, Dean Cemer, Bill Cemer, Mike Rowe, Bernard Wilkins, Dale Wilkins and Terry Makings.

Clare Cowing was organist. Dave Carlson was vocalist.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and for the services.
