Bill lived in Seattle for over 40 yrs. He was in partnership with Ben August in August Bros. Pants Mfg Co. from about 1923-1926. Store was originally at Globe Bldg, 1st & Madison St. but moved to Bay Building, 1st & University St.
About 1925, due to family complications, the business failed. Bill's death certificate stated he was a tailor.
At one time, Bill worked as cutter for Dolly Meyers Clothing and as an ironworker for Todd Shipyards during WWII. Later, Bill went to work for or with Joseph Kitty as owner/partner in the Chi Chi Tavern at 6th & Pike St.
Family knew him as a really nice man!
