Helen Vera Martino (nee Sobocinski), 74, a lifelong resident of Lorain, died Wednesday at her home after a long illness.
She was born in Lorain.
Mrs. Martino was employed at Sutter's Restaurant on Broadway in Lorain and also worked for Karnik's Store at Broadway and 31st Street in Lorain.
She was a member of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain.
Mrs. Martino enjoyed playing bingo and traveling.
Survivors include her daughters, Jeannie Skorvanik of Lorain and Janice Aaron of Orlando, Fla.; sons Richard of Avon Lake and Robert of Columbus; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
SHe was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L., in 1994; her parents, Vincent and Anna Sobocinski; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Dombrowski-Wohlever Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, where services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor of the Church of Peter, will officiate.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
