Funeral services of the late Larkin Floyd Bell of Upland were held in the Rialto Congregational church this morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. G. F. Mathes spoke from Deut 8:2.
Mr. Bell was born in Tennessee in the year 1838, being almost 75 years old. The last 28 years were spent in Southern California, 12 of which he lived in Rialto, moving to upland a little over a year ago. At this place he was in business with W. F. Stewart, with whom he has been associated since his arrival in California. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart accompanied the body from Upland.
The church was nicely decorated and there were many beautiful floral tributes. Pallbearers were W. F. Farner, C. N. Johnson, George Watts, J. H. Robertson, H. C. Lash and Abe Lackey.
A quartet composed of Miss Louise Oliver, Miss Kathleen French and Messrs. F. F. Wood and J. S. Bolser sang "Asleep in Jesus" and "Lead Kindly Light." Interment was made in the Rialto cemetery.

Former Resident Passes

Funeral services for the late F. S. Bell who passed away at Upland Monday evening, were held yesterday morning at the Congregational church with Rev. G.F. Mathes officiating. Deceased was about 75 years of age and had lived in and around Redlands and Rialto for the past twenty-seven years, having made his home at Upland for a comparatively short time. He was a native of Tennessee and served in the Civil was as a confederate soldier. He is survived by a number of distant relatives but has no near kin, having retained a bachelor all his life.

Lovely floral tokens surrounded his casket and told of the many friends in Rialto who are left to mourn his passing. A quartette composed of Miss Louise Cliver, Miss Kathleen French and Messrs, Frank Wood and J.S. Bolser sang several pretty hymns. Interment was made in the local cemetery, with Undertaker J.A.
