Walter Lorsch Died At Hospital Sunday, June 10.

Walter Lorsch, an engine operator at the Blair Municipal Power Plant, died at Memorial Community Hospital Sunday, June 10th. He had been in failing health for a number of months.

Walter John Lorsch had been a lifetime resident of Washington County. He was born at Ft. Calhoun April 30, 1912, and was 61 years of age at his death. He attended school and grew to manhood in the Ft. Calhoun and Blair areas.

On January 22, 1936 he was married to Birdie Helen Loftis, also a native of the Blair area. To this union three daughters were born.

He has been associated with the Blair Electric plant for the past 13 years.

Surviving is his wife, Birdie and three daughters. There are four grandchildren and two sisters who survive. There are also many other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, June 12, at the First Baptist Church in Blair. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Some believe that Walter's parents are Louis Lorsch and Wilhelminne Rathman Lorsch. I have received no proof of this.
