SHEFFIELD VILLAGE - Jane M. Polutnik (Thompson), 63, of Sheffield Village passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 11, 2013.

Jane was born on June 25, 1950 in Alpena, Michigan to George and Dorothy Thompson. She attended Saint Joe's School of Nursing where she met her soul mate of almost 42 years, John Polutnik of Elyria who attended General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan. She married John on September 25, 1971 and together they raised three wonderful children; Rachel Herman (Ike) of Hudson, Stephen (Beka) of Chicago, and Laura Kubinski (Mike) of Cleveland. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend and loved by all who knew her.

Jane's family was the center of her life.

Everything she did was for them. Jane enjoyed being a grandmother to her five beautiful grandchildren - Charlie, Joey, Elsie, Abby and Michael. She was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Church in Elyria. Jane and John loved their home away from home in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Family and friends may call at Misencik Funeral Home in Avon on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 14 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Vincent de Paul Church in Elyria, Ohio.

Internment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio immediately following the mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saint Vincent de Paul Building Fund.
