Ernestine (Nanny) B. Anderson June 29, 1915-September 5, 2013. Nanny was the second of three children born to James and Lida Burdette of Nashville, TN. Nanny was married 42 years to the love of her life, Edward Anderson. They lived in Franklin, TN before moving to Oak Ridge, TN and spent time in Panama Canal before ultimately making Pensacola their home. Nanny made friends with each move and became the adoptive mother to all the neighborhood children. She loved each child as if they were her own. Nanny was also a prankster. She loved to laugh and have a good time.
Nanny enjoyed being with her family. You could always count on her to put a smile on your face. She liked to sing and dance, watch the Atlanta Braves, and spend time with her crafting friends. She was an amazing woman and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, husband, Edward Anderson; son-in-law Jerry West; grandson Edward (Bubba) West and two great grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters Betty West (Frank Wright) and Shirley Baker (Fred) both of Pensacola; son Robert "Bob" Anderson (Sara) of Charleston, SC; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grand children and 14 great-great grandchildren.
