There she grew to womanhood and was united in marriage to Chas. A. Shobe April 11, 1888. Three children were given to this union, Mrs. L. E. Smith near Blairstown; Uel Shobe, east of Clinton and Miss Velda of the home. Seven grandchildren also are left to mourn her. She was converted at an early age and united with the old Methodist church at Alberta, later she and her husband moved their membership to Franklin Street Methodist church in Clinton. She loved to attend church services whenever her health permitted. A private funeral service was held at the home Sunday, after which the body was taken to Clinton and funeral services held at the Franklin Street Methodist Church, South. The pall bearers were nephews of deceased, Clyde and Earl Hutcherson, Ralph and Marvin Knoles, Clyde Knoles, Otto Knoles and Ed Combs.
