Clarkston resident
Paul C. McDaniel 79, a resident of Clarkston, died of cancer Saturday, Sept. 30 at at his home. A memorial service was held at Holy Family Church in Clarkston.
Born in Seattle, Mr. McDaniel attended Holy Family School in White Center.
He later traveled the western states working as a cowboy and ranch hand. In 1951 He married Edna "Jo" Drumm of Burns, Ore. They lived in Fall City from 1968 to 1985
When they moved to Clarkston. While in Fall City, Mr. McDaniel worked for Asplundh Co. of Bellevue as a tree trimmer. He served on the Clarkston Planning Committee, Was a member of Holy Family Church and a fourth-degree Knight of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, writing poetry, Family reunions and telling stories.
His survivors include his wife "Jo":a son, David F. McDaniel of Bellevue: a daughter,Mary Jo Gregory of Snoqualmie, six sisters, Mary Jane Eley of White Center,
Edna Ditmars of Tacoma, Eva Carpenter of Monroe, formerly of Snoqualmie, Gertrude Thomas of Post Falls, Idaho, formerly of Fall City,
Rose Gillespie of Poulsbo,
and Adeline "Lynn" Marion of North Bend,
two children and numerous nieces and nephews.
