Frank Messenger of Hollywood, California died at his home Tuesday night (Dec. 19, 1939). He was born in Douglas, Wyoming, the son of Charles W. and Mary Messenger. He attended school in Douglas and in about 1914 left for the west coast where he soon gained employment in the motion picture industry. It was not long thereafter until he became an assistant director and traveled to many foreign countries on location. At the time of his death he was associated with the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Company. His widow, Mrs. Dorothy Messenger, is the daughter of Mrs. Fred W. Foxton of Douglas. He also leave a daughter, Dorothy, who was married only a few months ago to Jack Haworth of Los Angeles. Other survivors are his mother, who at the time of his death was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Esther Colwell and family at Sioux City; and two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Delahoyde of Douglas and Mrs. Colwell.
