Death claimed Mrs Charles Zumwalt Sunday February 3, following a major operation in Willits Hosopital. The operation was successful, but the patient's heart refused to function several days later, although her devoted husband was a blood donor. Services were held from the Federated Church with Dr J Edward Mooy officiating. Mesdames Frank Johnson and Charles Lovell sang with Mrs G R Redwine accompianist. Pallbearers were J I Hurt, Leslie Vann, Walter Winters, and Lester Fitzhugh. Burial was in Valley View.
