Jose "Joe" Alfaro, Oct 13, 1925-Sept 6, 2012, resident of Pittsburg, passed away peacefully at home Thursday morning. Joe was born in Trinidad, CO. He was preceded in death by his sons, George and Joey. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Carmen of 64 wonderful years of marriage, devoted children, Carlos (Cyndi), Anthony (Yvonne) and Rachel Alfaro. He has 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Joe retired after 39 years from the Pittsburg Steel Mill. He loved to fish and camp with his family and travel in his RV. He was an avid member and volunteer at the Pittsburg Senior Center. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 4pm with a vigil at 7pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 10am at St. Peter Martyr Church. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch.
